Engineering Work Between Newton-le-Willows and Wigan North Western
06:47 Wigan North Western to Liverpool Lime Street via Newton-le-Willows will be retimed to leave Wigan North Western at 06:56 and will be diverted via and calling at St Helens Central.
18:21 Wigan North Western to Liverpool Lime Street via Newton-le-Willows will not run.

In both cases a replacement bus will run from Wigan North Western to Newton-le-Willows.

Note: The title of the notice on the National Rail web site is "... Between Newton-le-Willows and Wigan North Western / Patricroft ..." but the only trains listed as affected are the above two which use the connection from the West Coast Main Line via Lowton Junction. [145]
